The Zodiacts bunch has a bad day!Truly an amazing story book that will have you smiling and cheering all the way through. I downloaded this book the other night and shared it will my two boys (age 3) before bed. Took me a few nights to get through it, not because it was long, but rather because they wanted me to go back to the beginning and not let it end.
The storyline is simple in a perfect kind of way. I love how everything rhymes making it a fun read to share with your little ones. As for the illustrations they are perfectly filled with vibrant colors that open the imagination and creative thoughts as the pages turned off reading device. This is one story that I will be sharing with them over and over again. Truly a must read for everyone and one that I highly recommend.
5 Stars and can't wait to read the rest of the collection from Author Donna McGarry.

We received this book as well as TAURUS TREEHOUSE for our 8 year old daughter. She absolutely LOVES both of them. The stories and subject matter are whimsical and easy to follow. The artwork is just gorgeous. So much color..beautiful. If you or your children have any interest in astronomy, stars, planets or just like to read great books with fabulous art work, then any of this series of books is for you and your family.

This story follows the Zodiacts bunch through what can best be described as a bad day. Things are going wrong all around, whether it’s household items misbehaving or bugs invading Granitaurus’ garden. Everyone has days like that and it’s all a matter of learning how to handle disruptions and keep things in the proper perspective.
We all live in a world where security, both emotional and material, is important. When things go wrong, especially if they threaten our well-being, we are uncomfortable. This episode of the Zodiacts series shows the importance of such things as the need for peaceful enjoyments of one’s home, having access to personal space, love and affection and, of course, a sure favorite, good food. The message is subtle but one that can be particularly important. When someone’s needs aren’t being met they seldom come right out and ask for what they want. More often than not they don’t know, which means they’re more inclined to be grumpy, withdrawn or aggressive, regardless of age, especially if they haven’t learned how to recognize the cause and rectify the situation.
This book could be particularly valuable for both children and parents if they’re experiencing trying times. As these lovable characters encounter difficulties it could help a child depersonalize his or her own unpleasant situation and alleviate feelings of isolation, self-pity or rejection that often accompany time wrought with trouble.
