This was short for sure. I read Killing Lincoln, by Bill O'Reilly and really enjoyed it. Lincoln was a fascinating human and I've always thought he must have had many people who would have unhesitatingly protected him with their very life in order to help him achieve his goals. William Crook was one such man and the remorse he must have felt for giving his post over to another man, (especially one he knew was a lazy drunk) even though he had no choice since the president insisted he needed to rest, had to have haunted him every day. I really wanted to hear even just a part of his story. I am new in search of more.
